Daniel van Niekerk

Daniel van Niekerk is an elite drummer, percussionist, and arranger who has spent over a decade performing on some of the world’s biggest stages.

His journey with the drums began at just four years old, playing in church and steadily developing the skills that would launch his professional career.

Over the years, Daniel has toured across Africa and internationally, performing with some of the industry’s most recognized artists, including AKA, J'Something of Mi Casa, Shekhinah, Samthing Soweto, and Loyiso Bala.

A graduate of the National School of the Arts, Daniel combines professional experience with a strong passion for teaching.

His lessons focus on helping students build solid fundamentals while developing their own musical style and confidence behind the kit.

Daniel is also a proud brand ambassador for Roland South Africa, where he showcases the latest drum technology and creates expert content.

With his experience, creativity, and dedication, Daniel brings incredible energy to every lesson and helps students truly grow as musicians.
